You just described the real America: Putting personal gain over values This didn't start with Trump. This nation has been funneling money away from workers to the elite for decades until they had so much power that they could buy the supreme court and ignore the rule of law altogether.

On a smaller scale: I just resigned from a university staff senate after fellow exec. committee members decided it was easier to give into a bully Sen. rather than follow rules & procedure. After 2 yrs of trying to fix a messy infrastructure, I found it impossible to work w/ people who lack courage

This is it. The reaction of Trump and Noem to this murder is either a result of cognitive inability to make a reasonable deduction from clear factual evidence, or willful lying because they value power over justice and American lives. Either way, they have both proven themselves unfit for office.
