Hey everyone, happy Sunday. Are you ready for some good news? In honor of September being Hunger Action Month, today I wrote on my Substack about two kids in South Florida who have made it their mission to innovate new ways to solve food insecurity in their communities. Link below!

The science of biology makes this point clearly: diversity has a higher survival potential than homogeneity. Despite this, human organization tends in the opposite direction. Are we therefore inherently self-destructive because we lack the will and ability to cultivate and maintain diversity?

This is great, and I'm impressed by the empathy and initiative of these two kids. At the same time, I'm reminded of the story of the orphan-crushing machine. Teenagers shouldn't be trying to solve food insecurity. This story highlights the failures of the American people and Congress they elect.

Thank you, Aashrita & Anish, for helping your fellow man! You are doing what all Americans should be doing, helping one another. There is goodness in the world! Thank you for showing & reminding us of what that is & looks like.

This is inspiring. They are a reminder that we can make a difference for those in need nearby. This is also how I want the taxes I pay to be used, for the good of my fellow citizens near and far. For our environment, infrastructure, education, healthcare. Not 2 bomb other people’s children.

and look at that!!!!! they have brown skin!!!!!! Hey MAGA Peeps, there are brown and black people who are making an effort to help their neighbors and their community...What are you doing other than sitting in your recliner watching Jesse Watters spew lies and total BS.

This is a wonderful story! I downloaded the app to see how I can support this project. To the naysayers moaning about how pizza isn’t the healthy choice, get over it. These and kids who are doing something positive for the community to help people who are hungry. What have you done this morning?

Now how does the public become more educated about how SNAP works across the country as an economic tool ? How SNAP is an indicator for how the country can pinpoint economic downturns? How SNAP sustains the US food supply chain and delivery infrastructure? How SNAP increases the dollar by $1.84?

We don’t need to “innovate new ways to solve food insecurity” all we need to do is stop electing psychopathic Republicans who cut food aid LIKE YOU MR KINZINGER. What’s YOUR voting record on welfare programs? You haven’t changed a bit.

wish congress and senate would do the right thing and put the money where their mouths are when it comes to hunger. if we can spend that much on war and weapons, then we can eliminate hunger.

Great for thinking of those less fortunate. I think more grocery chains should do things like Raley’s Food for Families Program in California and Nevada. Do a search. There are good people and good businesses out there.
