TBH as a progressive I certainly hope Dems don't make this a thing in their elections unless it affects the civil rights of trans people. Otherwise who gives a f**k? The amount of time spent on discussion of trans is over the top.

It is a thing, though. The far-right has made it a thing. Trans people deserve to know that their safety and their rights matter and that the left will stand up for them.
