I'm sure the conversation went something like, Nintendo or whomever being concerned that the cartoon-y visuals would attract children. By all means, make the censorship options on by default, but don't take them away entirely!

Hey, nah. Censorship is unacceptable. Even if this wasn't your call, you absolutely should have done more than wait until the preorder cash came in before disclosing it. Will not be supporting your game now.

I would recommend that if you are able, fill out the Nintendo customer satisfaction survey. I think if enough of us state we will not buy mature rated content on the system because their policies compromise the experience otherwise offered on other platforms, they may change their policies. 😉

Way to be lazy and not want to make the effort to give Switch players the uncensored experience. Guess I'm playing on PC, if I play at all.

Disappointed by how the censorship was handled, not by the censorship itself, but in waiting to communicate its existence until just hours before release. I was thankfully able to get a refund but it’s not something Nintendo normally allows so it feels like a deliberate tactic on your part.

I'm in the third episode so I don't know if it's the same for the next episodes.

I just got a refund after contacting Nintendo support, not sure if it would have been possible after starting the game though. I would have loved to play it handled on Switch but it is going to have to be on PS5 now.

Any plans for an uncensored Xbox version? I was excited to finally play it on a platform I owned, but I'm not playing it censored.

People want your product, but releasing without platform parity is a mistake on your part. If you can't match the content found on other platforms, this can spur legal action to open the platform to alternative stores—U.S. and international legal precedent increasingly limits platform gatekeeping.

I won't be buying until the censorship is gone. Which saddens me because I was really looking forward to this one. That's the same device that has a fully uncensored version of Cyberpunk 2077 fffs....

Too bad you guys didn't disclose that it'll be mandatory censorship on the Switch. We have Cyberpunk on the same platform. I'll wait for the Xbox release before buying.

Got every single achievement in this game and saw all possible endings that came to about 35-40 hours of gameplay. Worth every cent!

I don't use socials often, but let me chime in; I won't buy anything with forced censorship. Seems a lot feel that way. But this makes me not want to touch my Switch 2, as someone with literal hundreds of Switch 1 games. Bad form, and disgusting it was not confirmed until today. Shame on you all.

I tried to cancel this game, but Nintendo refused (EU). You didn’t mention the censorship before the preorder period nor it was described before (quite the opposite, btw). I’ve escalated this refund request because this is false advertising (which is a crime in the EU).

I was really looking forward to playing this tonight until I found out its been heavily censored. I’ve had no choice but to ask for a refund and switch 2 is the only platform I can use right now so its very disappointing. I hope you patch the game to fix it :(

same. I started it but stopped after 20 minutes. those black boxed are annoying AF. hope it will be patched in the future. I will not play it again until then. or play it one gamepass maybe someday. I'm really disappointed
