I miss how much simpler life would be if @opnsense.org allowed floating rules for a single interface. For example, replicating "default deny" rules on every interface is so tedious. A floating-first approach can stop duplication while maintaining the ability to filter by selected interface(s).

Why can't YouTube force comments on political ads? If advertisers avoid it due to fear, that's their choice. Ad revenue and volume won't drop because they MUST be on YouTube to reach the audience. YouTube won't lose money. It would encourage less fear-based ads and more accountability.

Engadget has a decent article on repurposing an old PC to a media server. If you have one with some storage I would recommend doing this. I recommend Jellyfin since it has native agents for iOS/Android/ Mac/Win and doesn't spy on you like Plex. I use mine to access my library of DVDs.

Win10 PC obsolescence is infuriating. Rufus let our PC run Win11. It has enough RAM, MS' 2023 Secure Boot cert, and an i7-7700K exceeding baseline i5 requirements in every way. A debloated Win11 could support more PCs without sacrificing security or chipset features; I guess new PC sales come first.

Helped my partner build a backup PC this afternoon using leftover parts (gpu, ssd, case, cpu water cooler, power supply, i7 motherboard, ram). It was their first time building a PC and they should be proud of themself.
