TIL if a directory is owned by a particular group ID but that group ID doesn't map to a group on your system, Linux will just let anyone access the directory. 😵‍💫

Learned this the hard way. UNAS mounts NFS shares with a particular GID, which didn't map to anything on my server. Until I deployed a new service and that GID was suddenly taken and Plex stopped working. 🤯
