Covered an area of wall with records in a sort of shrine or vision board. They are all real records of significance with the vinyl in 'em but which I have replaced with undamaged ones to measure. Since I cannot part with the ones I had all my life, I'll look at 'em, knowing I have also got nicer :)

I have them in order of release (roughly) so they're also a history. First one: Disraeli Gears. I've just got a NICE replacement with incredibly unfaded cover and it's insane, but I've had an old worn copy forever. Represents guitar music beginning to step out post-skiffle and post-blues.

Following it, a radio station Steamboat Reprise copy of Are You Experienced. Jimi came around after Cream was already playing. My copy is BEAT UP but it's the three-color Reprise label, i.e. unbelievably old. Sounds live and wild. I'll be showing it on an Unauthorized at some point. Old tube record.

The next row (they're two wide) is a spare copy of the first Led Zeppelin. Represents inventing a whole, huge-scale sound with that instrumentation, there is so much to be learned from the production of old Zeppelin. Not as much personal value there, but a spare legit 1969 record.

The one after that is (I believe) THE copy of Bayou Country I played to death over my lifetime. I don't think it's heavily damaged but I think this is the one I turned to for those gripping, super-intense sounds. I found a less scratchy one, but this one was mine. It belted FOR me when I daren't :)

After that, I stuck a spare copy of Tres Hombres, just because Waitin/Jesus and La Grange are so cool. Also because literally all the old London copies are so DARK and yet that is completely fine. Just because it's dark doesn't make it a bad mix.
