There's calls each year for an audit of the military Congress has resisited this. So many members of Congress promise their constituents jobs and this is the result. S lot of people who complain about the devastating effects of war contribute to the misery.

"Pursuing Peace" is a joke when spoken by Trump. Peace, like trust, is earned. It takes effort. It takes precedent & practice. Peace could originate w/all-nation agreement to end war & w/beginning of the all-nation cooperative re: climate change. "We are all in this together" is peace building.

And some of the best buyers of the US military industrial complex are the very people who also finance Al Jazeera. They do some really good journalism while also being used as a propaganda for Qatar and the Muslim brotherhood at times - always struck me as an interesting contrast.
