"what is your opinion of ______" polls are always crazy in the US though, probably like a quarter of the "neutral/don't know" people still kinda believe some insanely Islamophobic factoid they heard in 2003

Ok yeah actually you can apply this to so many people who a certain kind of protestant thinks are going to hell. Oh it's tragic that you're gay but yeah you're just going to hell 💔 but it would be gauche I mean sinful for me to just say "I hate you" but also marriage is a Christian practice
