Fair enough. As an atheist I hold a negative sentiment towards all of them. Every religion on there has got a batshit-crazy dangerous asshole faction.

i still get people saying to this day atheists all supported the iraq war because of one or two dumbshit talking heads, ignoring the whole "gog and magog" thing

shame the non-believers into conforming, and ostracize them if they refuse? sounds like "people i disagree with or dislike for one reason are bad for every reason" arguing

Also i know why calling something reddit is derogatory because it kind of sucked 10+ years ago but it is probably second only to Bluesky in terms of having a reliably liberal user base and it much more popular.

yeah I feel like that tendency existed as a bloc for about a half decade, then piled into MAGA where religious dominionism swallowed it. During the first Trump presidency I feel like rw atheists had to start shutting their mouths about religion in rw spaces & about politics in atheist spaces.
