Imagine banning words

Teach them to read. Knowledge is, was, and always will be power. Enjoy my short stories about life, love, murder, angels, fat, forty, & frumpy & being rejected for looking too white. #BookSky #ReadWomen lovingjade.blogspot.com

Let readers be. (Like kids don't have the Internet...or, now, AI)

There's nothing more exciting than reading a forbidden book🤣

To kill a Mockingbird? Why would I want to kill a Mockingbird? seems violent to me. We definitely need less violence in our world.

Thrilled to add this anthology to my personal library for #BannedBooksWeek ...one of the first 11 to be challenged by conservatives in 1976, in case there was any doubt over what they truly find objectionable.

I'm 53. I read every book I could get my hands on. I'm sure I've read most of the books they've tried to ban. I worked in a library for 10 years. We had to fight to keep "Annie On My Mind" on the shelves. We won.

Absolutely!! It’s a great target list of books to read, if we haven’t already.

I love it when the social media timeline sorting has something to say. I find it significant, mow of all times, that these are the same week.

Find books you have never seen. bsky.app/profile/uwpb...

A quick search shows we haven't banned a book in the UK for over 30 years ( and that was overturned the year after). Ironic - and utterly tragic - that in "the land of the free" PEN reports 23,000 books have been banned in the US in just the the last 6 years. 😢🤬 #BannedBooksWeek

Let books be. Let imagination take flight! Here’s the top 10 list. Arguably others could have made it to this esteemed list of banned books too. Which one is your favorite? bsky.app/profile/rasu...

Republicans don't have issues with books. That is flat out misleading and factually incorrect. Republicans just want the gay sex books out of children's schools. Why are democrats obsessed with talking about gay sex with children?

What if the books are full of hate speech, promote terrorism, promote ideas that are squarely against our values, fictitious data … ( you catch my drift here )… Should such books be allowed to be circulated?

Always read banned books and make up your own mind.

My Top 10 Banned Books! (That I have read) 1 Slaughterhouse Five 2 Of Mice and Men 3 The Handmaid's Tale 4 The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn 😎 5 Persepolis 6 The Color Purple 7 Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl 8 1984 9 Brave New World 10 The Left Hand of Darkness Support and share banned books!

#VoteBlue to end the GOP shit show.

People that want Books to be Banned only care about themselves..but sadly not their own ignorance.

FREEDOM TO READ!
