Slowly resurfacing after the whirlwind that was last week in Türkiye and jet lag. There really is nothing like hanging out with 'normal' folks to keep you on your toes and let you know exactly where you need to brush up on ancient info and topics. People can ask some really great questions!

I genuinely appreciated how the culture/history stops on the trip really let us history/archaeology gals shine and it was so fun seeing everyone in their element as we fielded questions about Greek, Roman, and Neolithic things (and all the time periods in between).

I cannot believe how much both Göbekli and Urfa have changed, and continue to change. Did you get to any of the other Taş Tepeler sites (Karahantepe, Sayburç, etc.?) Please tell me, and the spirit of the late Commander Orion of Urfa, that you saw some of her Urfalı feline brethren.

We didn’t have a chance to get to any of the other Tepes unfortunately. But these 2 kittens were 2 of the many highlights of my visit!
