tech bros treat art the same way a 2 month old baby treats the world in general, always looking for comfort and pleasure. you can't explain to a guy like this that 'music' isn't a synonym of 'pleasant sounds', that there are reasons beyond 'this is comfortable to my senses' to appreciate art

they are like "why would I want to know what's in the mind of other people? why would I want to take a look into another person's thoughts, experiences and feelings? why would I want to listen to what someone else has to say about life and humanity and the world and everything? that's so dumb"
