Hey Japanese learners! I built a font that renders Furigana or Romaji on top of Kanji, with ligatures to support words. It can be applied everywhere to get furigana notations for free. Give it a try, and I hope it will be helpful :) furifont.antfu.me

My first question was how you handle onyomi vs kinyomi. The auto-selection is impressive and the non-printing ligature to select variants is really cool! What happens if the popularity of readings drifts over time? That may be irrelevant in Internet-time.

I wonder if there’s a case for a ligature that joins literal furigana to a kanji, eg for spoonerisms or puns.
