When pitching investors, emphasize what's broken only due to lack of money, but prove you've mastered the things money can't buy — like learning and improving, and something insightful and differentiated decisions (not just “features” that will be copied).

The same is true for internal pitches in companies, except the emphasize should be on what's broken or risky only due to lack of time.
