Because of the Nobel Prize, a lot of people will be talking about neutrinos today (including me I’m sure)! I *also* talk a lot about neutrinos in my new book, “How to Build a Universe (Theoretically Speaking),” which is available for preorder now! www.astrokatie.com/book-htbau

I’m too impatient to make my own crust. I’m glad I don’t also need to make the universe from scratch! 😉

Just pre-ordered. Now, to dig out my old Julian Barbour's "The End of Time" to figure out how to jump ahead to next March, retrieve the book, hop back "here/when", grab a Tim Hortons coffee, curl up, and enjoy the read.

I saw this and my first thought was: When will humans invent Scrith? Ringworld trivia - Scrith blocks 40% of all neutrinos. *Note, I just woke up 5 minutes ago

I really appreciated your discussion of neutrinos and dark matter in your podcast with John Green. It was somehow comforting to connect that we already know of a matter that doesn’t obey all the matter rules (neutrinos), so another abnormal matter that ignores others (dark) isn’t beyond the pale.

Seriously if you think neutrinos are cool and interesting or are at all intrigued by how they can be so shape-shifty, then my book is definitely for you because (1) there's quite a lot about neutrinos and (2) there's also quite a lot about how other particles are also super weird and fascinating!
