I played through Hollow Knight a couple of times, but that was a long time ago and I purposefully didn't play it again before Silksong — and I also felt Silksong was harder. To me it felt way more inviting at the very-very beginning, but then it ramped up the "no mistakes allowed" really fast

yeah, damn down attack fails in the worst times

Its a very intimidating quest when you first get it, but it does become a lot more manageable once you get the double jump and clear up the route beforehand.

It’s also hard to know as an absolute, because most people will have played HK before Silksong. I’m wondering if there are people that play it in reverse order, and what their experience would be. I think parts of Silksong are as hard or harder than HK, but not that many.

Lol wait I just opened Act 2. Hereby reserve the right to say it's too hard.
