It is… really really annoying that they made the Microsoft copilot ad with the pizza place LOOK like "AI" slop outputs. Like… they copied the lighting, coloration, shaping, and weird soft roundness of "AI" generated images ON PURPOSE. Ugh.

I don't know if it's intentional or not, but the reality or fakeness of the CQWG website itself is hard to assess.

There's a fun history to that. It was a fun little project back in the day. But the Is Real-Is False x Appears Real-Appears False quadrant itself has suddenly become useful again in the days of generative AI. 🤠

My own view is that a limitless ability to create and disseminate information overtakes the spread of knowledge and wraps around to cast the shadow of ignorance.
