A woman in Saint John was asked by police to cover up while sunbathing topless after someone complained. The CCLA says she wasn't breaking the law—Canadian courts have long recognized women may be topless in public in non-sexual contexts like men. Complaint filed alleging unequal treatment.

Truthfully, no. Honestly, it’s society’s fault for the rules that exist, as many people are ashamed of seeing a nude body, or in this case, a nude chest. I have always believed that if men can legally go around topless, so should women. Full stop!

I’ve seen many men with larger breasts than women and no one complains. So my theory: - Hair = okay to show, and - If it provides nourishment = don’t wanna see it. 🤔🙄😂
