BART will extend the length of evening trains on multiple lines starting Friday to ensure we have plenty of room for additional riders before and after the event's nightly drone shows near the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero along the San Francisco waterfront.

The Pokémon spirit will be evident on BART throughout the World Championships. Dozens of trains will be outfitted with posters and ceiling decals celebrating Pokémon.

Powell Street Station, which is the closest BART station to Moscone Center, will be dominated by Pokémon ads. The Pokemon ad buy is part of BART’s ongoing effort to explore new and creative revenue opportunities as the agency faces a structural deficit starting in Fiscal Year 2027.

The weekend is expected to be a busy one for BART ridership in San Francisco as in addition to the Pokémon Championships, the Giants have home games against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday, August 28, and a doubleheader on Saturday, August 29.
