'Ju-on: The Grudge' released on this day in 2009. Described as a "haunted house simulator," intended to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Ju-On film franchise. Sluggish traversal is occasionally punctuated by laughable attempts at jump scares, but mostly by tedious QTEs.

Watched some friends play this at a party, no check points either. We got stuck on one level that started with a long walk down stairs or an elevator. We couldn't figure out how to get past the ghost and it became a slog to replay it. We all started to lose interest and shut it off.
