Despite a clear need for help, a 2022 budget bill rider has delayed @noaa.gov from being able to implement lifesaving regulations to reduce entanglements through 2028. Since this rider, fishing gear has killed or injured more than 30 right whales.

Next week Congress is set to vote on H.R. 9436, a bill that would extend the rider through 2035, once again delaying lifesaving action for right whales. We urgently need you to tell your legislators to reject this deadly bill and to oppose any other efforts to delay protections for these whales.
