as a trans person seeing the political shift that's happening and a professional archivist/engineer working on web archiving tools, i'm toying with the idea of creating a(n ideally decentralized) archive of online trans + queer resources some thoughts as i muse on this over lunch:

- it'd be important not to centralize these archives in any one place so that they're less vulnerable to takedowns/political interference. single points of failure could be exploited by those who want to censor trans peoples' stories and resources online

- access considerations, especially if archiving social media + personal content: maybe certain content would need to be restricted to in-community use only? it would be wise to revisit the docnow white paper + chat with other folks who are archiving their own politically targeted communities

- are there existing efforts I could tap into/help support with time and technical know-how rather than trying to start something new from scratch? might there be the possibility of support or collaboration with existing queer and trans archives?

i have many more questions and vague aspirations than answers or concrete plans, but it feels like there's a thread of something there that i'd like to keep pulling
