I've made a little device that takes a 2 button #MSX joystick on one end and poops out a USB gamepad on the other side. There's an auto-fire option that can be (de)activated by holding down one of the fire buttons and rotating the stick a couple of times. 1/4

Yes, these are ready-made available. But I wanted to make one myself, just to see if I could. First a quick protype and when I got it to work, I designed and ordered some PCBs and got a bunch of connectors and RP2040s. 2/4

I'm not planning to start a business or anything, but it's a really cool experience. And amazing how much is possible for really very little money. Hats of to people who make complex devices though, this was very small, very simple and even so, it took quite some planning. 3/4

And I'm actually going to use it! That's why I started this project in the first place. Let's play some emulated games with my The Arcade Pro joystick. As they were meant to be played 😅 4/4
