Three different Philips #MSX computers, but the same mold!

Received a lovely Philips #MSX brochure from France. They were rocking the BLACK VG-8020 back in the day which looked totally badass! I scanned the brochure for your viewing pleasure. Grab it here: www.dropbox.com/scl/...

Mmmh, something's up with my keyboard this morning... 🤔 #MSX

It's been a while, but there's some new stuff entering the collection today!🥳 #MSX

After all the AI 💩 lately, it's really lovely finding something like this! 💖 Konami KNIGHTMARE -- BGM1 and BGM2

Busco un operador que todavía ofrezca tarjetas SIM 2G, compatibles con mi Nokia 3310. Looking for an operator that still provides 2G SIMs compatible with my Nokia 3310.

Congrats to the #ZX81 on its 45th birthday! My coding life started on that little machine at a friend's house. We watched WarGames and made a password screen. It was magic. 😍 Never used it again after that, as the Spectrum came into my life. Still have fond memories of that day.

My Z80 Opcode Calculator app on Google Play was updated yesterday. Undocumented opcodes are now included. Test away! #z80 #msx #zxspectrum #amstrad

Big fat labels so that I won't take the wrong tapes box again!

New #MSX game in the collection! And what a game; ALESTE! Let's see if I still have what it takes to beat it! 😅

Special treat from nature this morning, showing off a massive particle system in front of my window. Life has a pretty good GPU! 😅 Any estimates on how many bird particles? 10.000? More?

Neat! @brewotaku.bsky.social magazine #008 did a review of #MSX Matchy Matchy ❤️ More info here: www.brewotaku.com/20... Get Matchy Matchy here: bitsofbas.itch.io/ma...

Looking through my games, I decided I like these games very much, even though the chance of me ever playing them is extremely low. I just enjoy the cheerful boxes! 😅 #MSX

Oh, I give up! It’s impossible to take a cozy, wintry shot in the south of Spain with the sun blasting through the window. 😅 Merry Christmas, everyone! And remember, there’s a free Christmas game for the #MSX2. Have fun! bitsofbas.itch.io/cu...

Found a pretty unique (at least for me!) troops cheat sheet for Super Daisenryaku. It came with a magazine, afaik, but it looks so good, it should've been in the game box! All items photographed from screen, must've been a lot of work too! #MSX

It's really no match between the European and the Japanese versions of Magical Kid Wiz. Glad I could pick up that shiny Japanese version for cheap, even though it was an empty box (since then, I found a loose cartridge too 😅) #MSX

I was lucky enough to find a loose "5th Anniversary" tape to complete my Hydlide 3 box! #MSX

And that's probably more #MSX Hydlide versions than I will ever need. Or is there a secret Bee Card version? 😅

Four shades of grey! What the heck happened at Philips in the 80's when they made these keycaps? * Most of the keycaps got brown. * QWERTY row sometimes remains grey. * Numerical keys are always grey. 🙃 #MSX #Philips

Had some more fun playing with retroachievements.org/ but the biggest gripe is that I have to play in an emulator and I miss my joystick! But I found this adapter in a drawer which serves pretty well to make my trusty 80's joystick talk USB. Just one fire-button though... 🤔

Just found out my Cube Droid are on this site that adds achievements to retro games, including #MSX games! It works by having the emulator watch specific memory addresses and overlay unlocked achievements on screen. Such a great idea! retroachievements.or...

This is the official OST for the Parodius arcade game. I hear some similarities between this and the MSX version, but it's not the same music. The eyepatch of the penguin is actually painted on the outside of the jewel case. When you pull the booklet out, he's got no patch! 😅

Finally found NG1 ( already had NG2 ). This is the Namcot Game series with on this disk: Galaga King & Balloon Bosconian Warp & Warp Tank Battalion XVM They're all good #MSX games! 😍

Some more Japanese HAL games for the #MSX collection! Got the Takara version of Heavy Boxing for a change. 😅

I really love this Gao figurine that #MSX gamers know from the Firebird (Hi no Tori) game. He's only got one arm, but that's how he's supposed to be in the game too. (Those who've seen the movie know that his arm count is going to change soon. 😱) Took me forever to find one!
