Realizing code transformations libraries are 1000x times easier to create because you just setup the fixtures and then tell the AI to come up with the algorithm and you just loop on your unit test until done. You can even profile test times and try to make optimizations.

I'm willing to wager this was why rewriting typescript went from being impossible because it's so large and has no spec to being 80% done.
