it's not like, impossible that toby fox expects the player to play through the entirety of deltarune more than once, no? because even with chapter 3 replays, things start changing with a completed save file with even smaller details like there being more keys present in the first board

unto which the knife initially exists as a signifier of something beyond the surface end of chapter 1, but come beginning chapter 2 we realize it was a fakeout of some kind, but by the end of that chapter we further realize that it was a double fakeout in the form of the knife creating the fountain

chapter 3, it sees no use, but chapter 4 it prominently is used to show susie how to create a dark fountain. chapter 5 again follows similar usage, but it begs the question; why does kris not actually use the knife as a weapon in the dark world? does the realism of the object clash with the fantasy?

CMYK are the colors of printer ink (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key(black)) which happen to map neatly onto the four main characters

technically it's subtractive color not just printer ink but the most common place people will see subtractive color is printer ink but. it applies to filters or mixing pigment too.

What gets me about all this is the promise to only have one ending. Is everything going to tie in at the end? or is there some kind of double meaning?

I really think it's just as simple as the story ends the same no matter what, but it's how you get there that matters. If say Noelle were to be sacrificed, on normal route she'd probably hesitate and need Susie to guide her, but on weird route she'd do it no problem. smth like that

The darkner who denies her own personhood being the one with the abandoned, forgotten route certainly paints a very dark picture, it would however be intresting if since Ralsei can see the structure of the game that once we finish a route they can remember and thatโ€™s when the Ralsei route unlocks?
