Y’all, what’s it gonna take to get more of you on @grain.social? Even beyond the generally very high quality of the images being posted, the app is just gorgeous. Fucking nailed it, @chadtmiller.com. ❤️ #atproto

yes! and as it stores images on your pds, you can render them from anywhere! like I do on my personal website: chernigin.com/en/gallery. so @grain.social is like a CRM for my photos

do it! its a perfect middle ground between owning your own photo gallery and having a social aspect of likes and comments

@sgo.to @thisismissem.social is there a world where the FedCM atmosphere integration could be used to allow @chernigin.com and I to implement UI on personal sites to write a like record to the browser user’s PDS?

Well you can already do that today with OAuth, the only catch here is: why would I trust random websites with access to my PDS?

I mean, I’d expect it to be closer to microphone / camera access - single permission, requested from the site and managed by the browser. I can add a like feature to like my grain.social images with a social.grain.favorite record, or upvote a blog post by writing an at.upvote.signal record
