silent hill townfall's music is excellent - among the best in the series. the gameplay is great except for a few areas. the atmosphere is wonderfully eerie and tense. i really want to love townfall. but then shit like this happens and my eyes roll into the back of my skull

Haven't played Townfall yet, but this is one thing I really liked about F - while sometimes the symbolism is a bit on the nose (Shiromuku essentially being an empty wedding dress is almost painfully clear), there's enough layers of interpretation and things to chew on that it never feels like it's

condescending to you. Like, spoiler warning for other people I guess, but the conflict between the different gods tying in closely to the conflict Hinako is going through of adulthood v childhood doesn't force feed itself to you to the point that (admittedly mostly bad faith) people seem to miss it

as a factor in the story a lot! They get stuck on "oh it's about how she hates marriage and womanhood" and like... it's not not but things can be about two things!! or more!! It can also be about how characters FEEL about those things! It's cool!

Kinda wish they'd done something like Caz's arc in Still Wakes the Deep where it was about learning to not run away from your problems and taking responsibility rather than personal guilt again. SHf made me think we'd finally moved on from that.
