a word on advice on leaving old iPhones permanently plugged to the wall. I did it for a music project with an old iPhone SE and around a year on the battery was totally swollen, it even popped the screen out of the frame. Not sure how it would have ended if I hadn’t noticed on time. Just FYI!

Good to know. there's something people in the Home Assistant community do for wall mounted tablets: use a smart plug and cycle the battery automatically between 20 and 80% charge
