Only issue I have also involves vite_ruby complaining there’s no index.html in an entrypoint which I think is more a vite_ruby issue

That looks like a lightningcss issue instead of Rolldown-Vite!

If rolldown-vite wants to be a drop-in replacement from vite v7, and it changes css parser, isn’t it also a rolldown-vite issue?

To some degree yes. But to find the root cause (and where to report it), it is helpful to see which "part"/lib causes it. As usual a reproduction would be great. For CSS the easiest would be lightningcss.dev/playground/i... (to see if it works with plain Lightning CSS)
