Concert ticket prices are absolutely out of control at this point. And honestly the artists need to speak up. Its bad enough there is a monopoly with Ticketmaster. But people can't afford these prices. Read the room.

I’m afraid they are reading the room. The sold-out room. I won’t spend that kind of money…but somebody does. Agree that artists should speak up but (I think) they like the money.

This!!! These artists don't care about us. Ticketmaster wouldn't be able to gouge us without their participation. All those artists that have been perpetually on tour over the last few years........

I’m skipping a tour of an artist I see every time they play. Every time, for many many years because I won’t patronize Ticketmaster and refuse to deal with their ripoff methods And I am disappointed this artist hasn’t said anything about the horrible practices or found a way around Ticketmaster

Sometimes they cant. Ticketmaster is often times the exclusive vendor for major arenas, especially in NYC. You literally cannot get tickets without going throught them. But I am trying to go to the box office when I can.

A big enough artist can do or at least say something. If they have to go through Ticketmaster, maybe they can force them to not do the dynamic pricing. Or get other artists to join them to generate pressure My city’s venue doesn’t do buy at the box office anymore — not happy about that

Ive noticed that the box office option is only available at smaller venues who are not exclusive. Some artists have said they're not doing dynamic pricing, but they also set their prices.

My mom told my kid a story about how her first concert was REO Speedwagon & it cost $6.50. His jaw hit the floor & he said you mean like 6 dollars & 50 cents? Not $650?" He couldn't believe it was ever that cheap.
