In 2018, a cannabis activist streamed a private meeting with Harris in Harris' office. The activist was charged with "illegal wiretapping" (reason.com/2019/02/14/m...) because MD is two-party consent. Harris I guess now thinks two-party consent means anybody anywhere recording him needs permission?

Republican Rep. Andy Harris incorrectly told a reporter they were breaking the law as the reporter and others recorded an exchange with him last night. Harris had just wrapped up a debate with Democratic challenger Dan Schwartz.

I know these DCMJ and MDMJ activists. Harris slammed his office door on one of them on a different day and broke her foot in multiple places and I think even charged her with trespassing or something - all because she wanted to speak with him at his office.

yeah that whole thing was a stupid disaster because of Harris. I think even the wiretapping thing was excessive (whether or not it did "violate" the "law") but hey that's Andy Harris for ya, the worst guy whose lesson from that 2018 stuff is "actually anyone who records me anywhere is wiretapping"

He always calls me for his town halls (phone only) and I really can’t stand that guy. The ES loves him. How he’s from nearly western Md (Hagerstown?) and his district stretches this far, I do not know. Vote “for” on question 3, I think addresses exactly this. ES repubs are freakin out. 🤪😉
