I don’t know if I have an answer. I never really got real work through Meta platforms. It was always « I saw this on your website » type deal. Meta’s algorithm is incredibly punishing to creators so what’s the point of staying? Is it for validation or for genuine work opportunities?

It is more of a "everybody expects you to be there" peer pressure / general culture. These days you tell people you have a website and it's like speaking in alien. But you got a point - I'm not hiding, if someone really wants to connect they know how, them being lazy shouldn't be my problem 🤔

Exactly. If anyone asks if you’re on socials, you can tell them « you can see my art and get updates on my website ». Actually my only advice would be to create a contact page separated from the about page. Be sure to link them to each other.

Contact page should have all relevant links and the ways in which you want to receive communications. An FAQ with how you work, what you want to work on or with, is a life-saver. At this point, a visitor should know everything about you.
