I think the the GitHub Blocks experiment from a few years ago probably offers some insight here. That was probably too ambitious to make it into release but even a small subset of that functionality could be powerful. @wattenberger.com

Cool! I even created an extension for the most commonly used Markdown parser in PHP so simplify this: svenluijten.com/posts/common... So your markdown would become this: {scheme=light} {scheme=dark}
