i got it. i think what i have to do is pretend i'm playing an old fromsoft game and flying a plane in king's field and i'll trick myself into liking it and writing shit about the "intentionality of the controls as a point of player friction" and other nonsense like i usually do for bad games

also makes me want to try playing Electrosphere again even though ive tried 10 times before and always quit 20 minutes in because controlling the aeroplane in that game is fucking dogshit and not fun at all. have i learned my lesson or am i doomed to always repeat history? find out soon
