Hey @streets.boston.gov @mayorwu.boston.gov what's the deal with Open Street events being scaled back so aggressively the last few years? Are we really getting rid of one of the most popular summer events in the city?

Just a slight correction, according to StreetsBlogsMass, they stated Open Newbury would be announced separately this year and that they would still happen.

Honestly it seems like posts like yours are the reason we ever get any communication from the Mayor's office. Everything she's doing is reactive It's Memorial Day and there's still no plan for one of the biggest summers in Boston in recent decades. And they won't close Summer St per the T's req 🫥
