Most of it is just auditing and merging work that has been done previously. But one change goes a little deeper, it repairs broken labels that StatCan sends down. And emits a warning to notify the user that labels were changed. And it has a surprisingly large blast radius...

Current status: Implementing a downstream workaround in the cansim package so that data columns are accessible without users having to go to monkey-patch special characters into strings. Tired of responding to package users running into this. But really, StatCan should fix this on their end.

Cannot believe some of StatCan’s practices on this. Feel like they cater to neither the normie nor the power user but some useless space inbetween.
