It's been half an hour. I can't tell if this is the stupidest thing I have ever read or the guy pulled a 4D chess move and saw the side-hustle of flipping storage unit computers 50 years before that became a thing.

I wonder if we’ll end up with a futures market for RAM. I hope not; that would make everything worse, I suspect. (The fact that models aren’t exactly interchangeable helps.)

One of my favorite Jack Tramiel-related ads, I can't remember if it was Commodore or Atari, showed a comparison of his computer vs. Apple based on "price per KB of RAM." Like Jack was running a deli and there was a special on corned beef. 😆
