They also have universal healthcare and wonโ€™t lose their jobs cars and homes if they are arrested for protesting. And their cities are walkable and have ample public transportation. The oligarchic system in place in the US and geography make this harder to do here by design.

Cool. That doesnโ€™t solve the problem that nobody here can afford to lose everything because there is no safety net. You will end up living on the street.

Itโ€™s a case of how slowly Americans want to go broke. Itโ€™s being taken away from you now, you can wait until there is nothing left to lose if you like.

How did the french earned those things ? They didn't have any of it back in 1789. Or 1848. Or 1871. Not in 1936 either. Empty stomachs should make you band together and scream. And stop work until you get universal healthcare and guaranties in case of job loss.

France is about she size of Texas and the US has many times the population spread out over a huge country. All carefully engineered to avoid exactly what people outside the country suggest would be so easy. Itโ€™s not or we would. bsky.app/profile/hotb...

The French do it properly (as did the Russians). The English messed up massively and the British colonies in America was more like a corporate hostile takeover.

In France, street pressure has repeatedly changed policy. The people decide when the government has lost the right to rule. Protesters shouldnโ€™t be lumped in with window-smashers or looters bc opportunists exploit the unrest. Blaming immigrants without evidence is as wrong as blaming all protesters.

They are already murdering people in the streets no healthcare hungry people children murdered in schools 5 year old shot in the face they have you where they want you good luck

Can't blame the cops. What the hell do they think they are doing, playing peacefully and not being aggressive!! No wonder the cops tear gas them.

I did tear gas training multiple times in the army. I also lived with a French woman for a few wonderful years. Those French musicians (youngsters in the main) are very brave & I suspect have much love for their county in their hearts! Fok the establishment! Madame Guillotine is so very hangry!

Oh, centuries before that. Look up for instance the Jacquerie of 1358 during the Hundred-Year War, or the massive riots during La Fronde etc. In French History, protests were never out of style, even before France truly existed as a realm.

Here is a story my grandpa told me. When he was young, in 1962, he was doing his military days in Germany. And suddenly, all the soldiers were put in a train that went straight to Marseille without any stops, rolling fast so that no one would jump through a window.

In Marseille, a regiment of professionnal soldiers surronded the train and told them, conscripts, to board a ship to Algeria. A whole regiment of french soldiers to prevent the conscripts from runing away.
