People need to get it through their heads that whatever they *might* have “actually” meant a couple of years ago, when leftists say “AIPAC” or “Israel” NOW they often mean (((Jewish))) just as when MAGA says “DEI” they mean “Black.” If you can’t get that I don’t know what the else to say.

“AIPAC” is still shorthand for “foreign government lobbyists” to me. We don’t seem to be paying for Israel’s defense. We are paying for the persecution and displacement of their neighbors. And it looks like Netanyahu doesn’t want peace at all, so why are we giving money to his government.

I don't like AIPAC *or* Netanyahu & I actually would be OK with us cutting off offensive military aid to them, at least for the time being since he's clearly out of control. HOWEVER, there's a difference between "opposing AIPAC" & "opposing (((AIPAC)))" and a LOT of people clearly mean the latter.

Whatever the subtext is here, I’m missing it. I have been to Israel on business, and once was able to take a day trip to Bethlehem. Palestine is sad and impoverished. There are very few Christians left in Bethlehem. Now they are allowing (often American) settlers to persecute their neighbors.

An extremely superficial understanding. In fact the people doing the violence against the Palestinians are Israeli born. It would actually be a good thing if more settlers were American because there would be less violence.

what really happened: 1. israel established 2. arabs voluntarily leave israel 3. arabs invade israel 4. israel kicks ass 5. israel denies enemy arabs re-entry 6. arabs refuse to assimilate other arabs 7. “refugee crisis” 8. more arab invasions 9. israel kicks more ass 10. 50 years of terrorism 11.

Bethlehem in “Palestine” is so sad and impoverished you took a scenic tourist bus day trip all 32 miles from Jerusalem ? Gonna blow your mind and let you know Jesus was Jewish. #5786

The triple parenthes are Nazi internet shorthand for labeling Jewish people or what they see as Jewish-controlled organizations. It's a dogwhistle thing. This guy is saying that leftists speaking out against AIPAC are secretly Nazis, or similarly antisemitic, and that they are doing dogwhistles...

... but without the actual dogwhistle. So he's using the actual language/symbolism of modern Nazis to accuse opponents of genocide of being equivalent to Nazis, despite not doing the thing he's implying they're doing. It would be funny if it wasnt so ugly and sick.

Wait, you are leftist, correct? So how do you tell the difference between leftists using the term AIPAC literally and leftists who are using it as an antisemitic slur?
