And this is why Plato disagreed with "democracy". Because if we accept all opinions equally, and we are tolerant to intolerance. Then we have legitimate free for all. His view have flaws but Knowledge over opinion is vital for a humane society. To often we see a lack of knowledge

One of my pet peeves is defending a bad decision that affects everyone with the non-defense of “It’s my right to do that!” Another is referring to anyone so much as disagreeing with your viewpoint as “canceling” you. And it’s been like four years since I saw the latter until this.
