There's some bugs with the peelout in Sonic CD. There's certainly shenanigans to be had. (This does not apply to the remake, as that implemented it differently)

you can use this on purpose to clip through walls by doing a peel out, holding diagonal down, then holding up. it's fun to skip CC3 and some bits of MM3
