I’m not sure why it’s even reported when lawmakers, politicians, Presidents don’t bat an eye at these statistics. I guess they feel it’s okay for 350M citizens to worry that it may be their child. How sad and pathetic that no one who can do anything cares…

The only thing I had to worry about when I was growing up was drugs and earthquakes. When is our government going to do something about the guns! It's the same story, shooting someone, talk about the problem, morn the people who died, repeat the cycle, again!

Wonder how much ad money per year CNN and the other major media networks make off school shootings. Would like to see that study. If gonna call it a tragedy and not the 83rd day of great ratings due to child death then should donate the money to gun control.

The 83rd SCHOOL shooting, not to mention elsewhere. Here in Ireland, I doubt that any child is aware what an "Active Shooter Drill" is- we don't have them. Yet America us the so called "greatest country in the world"?

83 school shootings in a year. It is more than once a week. It is absolutely horrible 😢 It should be 0. I would never send my kid to school in the USA.
