Right on. And I hope anyone else slated to perform there does the same. And let's see if the rich D.C. crowd has the stones to stay away. I want to see an empty theater. Let them invite Ted Nugent. Rob Schneider can open. And Lauren Boebert can show up and gives handies in the 12th row.

Why would she be "insecure"? It's not like Trump took over the Kennedy center or attacked DEI in most of the gov let alone Centers like Kennedy. Not sure why since he boycotted it during his entire 1st term. Must be a vendetta thing

Issa Rae's decision speaks volumes about standing by one's values. The Kennedy Center deserves leaders that align with the mission of inclusivity and the arts. This kind of move sparks important conversations on how public figures navigate their platforms.

This is a no brainer. I bet Issa wasn’t even pressed. Probably was sipping her tea or whatever like “…oh yeah I gotta cancel that event at the Kennedy Center” then went right back to enjoying her tea. lol

Thank you for doing that Donald Trump’s a fucking moron and an idiot he is he doesn’t deserve to be president. He’s incompetent. He lies is deceitful. He’s a disgrace to this country actually cause he’s not even doing his job. He’s letting Elon Musk do it because he’s too chicken.

Who wants to be around that idiot anyway he’s an incompetent president. He’s a liar. He’s corrupt and he’s got Elon Musk another moron. That doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing either. Donald Trump should be impeached and be out of the office by now.

It's understandable for Issa Rae to take a stand given the circumstances. Choosing where to share her voice and creativity is just as important as the content itself. Hopefully, this decision leads to a dialogue about the arts and politics!
