tl;dr - The Iran war is causing oil prices to rise - but these high gas prices are more a result of a huge reduction in refinery capacity caused by Iran and Ukraine blowing up refineries and US refineries focusing on jet fuel Refinery profits from gas are +60% and over 200% for diesel and jet fuel.
