Correlation is not causation, CNN. They're not going bankrupt because they are immoral. They are going bankrupt because they can't turn a profit. No AI services have turned a profit. They just are immoral too.

and its kinda their own fault. their users had been complaining about their content filter since almost the beginning, which got progressively worse over time as they cracked down more and more to where even their SFW content was being impacted.

when they started launching paid tiers, the hope was they'd offer an uncensored paid tier & it was even their most requested feature, but they never did & just made the filters worse. there ended up being a huge exodus of users who moved to open source, uncensored options.

No wonder these big corporations like OpenAI and Anthropic are trying to scare the government into banning local models so they can monopolize the market. Sam Altman I get. He is known to have abused his sister as a child. But I wonder whether Dario Amodei thinks he can profit off this too
