Given the human rights track record of this edition of Trump's regime, the Roman Catholic Church should have steered clear of the White House. This was a mistake.

The Catholic Bishops’ apologies aren’t plausible. I drive past Catholic Churches draped with political yard signs telling me how I should vote. Catholic clergy seem to have amnesia when it comes to the separation of church and state - and now they’re in the Oval Office during election season 🙄.
