Only five false claims in a minute? David Barton would be disappointed. Those are rookie numbers.

In the span of one minute, Christian nationalist pastor Rob McCoy managed to make at least five demonstrably false claims about the Founding Fathers and the creation of the Constitution. www.peoplefor.org/rightwingwat...

Your freedom from prison should never depend on surrendering your freedom of religion. Kudos to American Atheists and Colorado advocates for securing this important victory. Recovery should be about getting help, not being coerced into religious participation.

Colorado parolees shouldn’t have to choose between their beliefs and staying out of prison. After years of advocacy by atheists and allies, the state has agreed to offer secular recovery options. Here’s how organizers made it happen. www.friendlyatheist.com/p/colorado-p...

Nothing says “Christian love” quite like threatening violence because someone exercised their First Amendment rights. Christian nationalists love religious freedom until someone else exercises it.

America is not a Christian nation or a Muslim nation. It’s a secular republic where freedom of religion means freedom for everyone, including the freedom to reject religion entirely. No religion gets to claim ownership of our government.

Atheists don’t hate God. We don’t think he exists. We advocate for thinking freely and following your own beliefs. It’s the religious authoritarians who claim to know exactly what God demands, then try to impose those demands on everyone else. Who’s playing God again?

Murder and rape are wrong because they cause immense harm and violate the rights and autonomy of other human beings. If you need a god to tell you that murder and rape are wrong, that says a lot more about you than it does about atheists.

Harry Truman once said, “Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.” He was right then, and Republicans are proving him right today. Watch.

Turns out the less time people spend in church, the more likely they are to support equal rights for their neighbors. Across nearly every religious group, more church means less support for same-sex marriage. Seems pretty clear: less church is better for society.

For our mega-survey on populist attitudes, we asked whether people would prefer a more multi-party system or a two-party system. The former blew the latter out of the water. Asked about specific reforms to get there, people are less sure. Also, Trump populists are the most fond of the status quo.

The fact that VP JD Vance and Richard Grenell went to Romania—on behalf of the Trump Administration— to advocate for Andrew and Tristan Tate, who by all accounts, were rapists running a coercive sex ring, then permitted them to come to Florida, should be a crazy, crazy scandal.

Between Trump’s sham “religious liberty commission” and all the ways Trump has been trying to rewrite our history as a Christian nation leading up to America’s 250th birthday, Congress needs to make it crystal clear our government is not ruled by one religion.

I'll summarize this: Mamdani asked NYers to keep air conditioning at 78 degrees. A wave criticism hit online. A MSNBC broadcast pointed out the US Department of Energy recommends that 78 degree figure. Immediately after, the US Department of Energy deleted 6,000 web pages related to energy saving.

If you invested $10,000 in Trump coin on Jan 20, 2025, it would be worth $415 today. People didn't buy these coins as an investment. They bought them to put money in Trump's pockets in exchange for something they want. It's the scummiest grift operation ever to hit the presidency.

Before pundits explain away Taylor Rehmet’s historic TX win, here’s the lesson: voters are fed up with an economy that isn’t working—even many who backed Trump. Candidates win by running on middle-out economics: raising wages, fighting corporate power, and lowering costs.
