www.oldskool.org/guides/tvdog... has some old software for the Tandy 1000 :) fundamnt.zip "FUNdamentals of the Tandy 1000, a bootable program describing the features of that system. Use included program to recreate the bootable disk."

I got it running in flathub.org/en/apps/com.... :) After installing, run: $ flatpak run com.dosbox_x.DOSBox-X -machine tandy

After extracting the file fundamnt.dmp (floppy disk image) from the ZIP, rename it by adding an IMG file extension, e.g. fundamnt.dmp.img Then in DOSBox-X, after it boots as a Tandy machine, select: Drive > A > Boot from disk image And then select the fundamnt.dmp.img file

Vids save to ~/.var/app/com.dosbox_x.DOSBox-X/config/dosbox-x/capture (converting to mp4 w/ ffmpeg for Bluesky) Booting from A...

TA DA! bsky.app/profile/did:...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tandy_1... mentions at least ten Tandy 1000 models, and some additional variants...

There were variants of the FUNdamentals software for the various models, as seen in the 1988 Tandy Computer catlogue archive.org/details/tand... I recall that we eventually found a discounted copy (of SX version?) for our family computer... Software was NOT cheap then! $29.95 in 1988 is ~$83 now!

EX version shown in www.pixsoriginadventures.co.uk/the-tandy-10...

AH! Here's the EX version: FUNDA-EX.zip in ftp.oldskool.org/pub/drivers/... Renaming .RAW to .img works just fine in DOSBox-X :)

Original version (for the 1000) appeared in the 1986 catalogue www.radioshackcatalogs.com/flipbook/c19...

The 1989 catalogue archive.org/details/tand... added (lower cost) versions (for the TL, and SL).

same in 1990 catalogue www.radioshackcatalogs.com/flipbook/c19...

Couldn't find references to it in later catalogues. So there were (at least) half a dozen versions...

As per dfarq.homeip.net/tandy-1000-m... First generation Tandy 1000; 5.25″ floppy Second generation SX; 5.25″ 360 KB floppy EX; 5.25″ 360 KB floppy HX; 3.5″ 720 KB floppy TX; 3.5″ 720K floppy Third generation TL; 3.5″ 720KB floppy SL; 5.25″ 360KB floppy

So, apparently the FUNdamentals software was copyright Digital Learning Systems, Inc. But what happened to them?
